“The rain began to fall but would evaporate in the heat of the concert of Jim McKaba and the After Hours Band including American and Nantes musicians  Josh Miller (guitar), Miguel Hamoum (bass), Jonathan Buck (drums), & Karl W Davis (vocals). Jim, featured on piano and vocals, was also joined byNantes guests Eric C and Julien Broissand on guitars.

A native of Jacksonville Florida, Jim has been active in the blues for thirty years and has played notably with Muddy Waters, Eddie Taylor, Jimmy Rogers, and Big Walter Horton.  It is difficult to find more information on him, but it takes only a moment to believe his references.  If you like ultra blues piano, declamatory singing, & the classic repertoire (Eddie Boyd Sunnyland Slim, Muddy Waters and those of the genre) then look no further, it is all here!

Backed by Josh Miller in great form, and exchanging vocals with Karl W Davis who added a great touch of Ray Charles to the concert, Jim played two hours of great blues.”
